Wow! I contacted Aaron originally for cliff diving, but after a few messages back and forth he helped me craft a Custom Adventure! My Best Friend was getting married, and I was the Best Man, so a Bachelor party was in Order. After a little deliberation, We Settled on a camping trip set-up on a secret Island right near Downtown! We got to the meet-up spot about 10pm (after some last minute changes from 8) and found Aaron to not only be friendly, but very accommodating! He paddled us out 3 at a time, and had the Island furnished with a Fire, Poker Table, Smores (He texted me 2 hours before asking if I need any supplies! SMORES!? WHAT A GREAT GUIDE!), and enough furniture for the Party to hang out! Because it was set to rain that night, he had a back-up plan in place, and Iâ??ve gotta say, he was extra accommodating.
The Trip? Amazing, we had a blast, and having out own Island get-a-way for the end of a bachelor party was perfect. Just a few minutes from downtown, and a neat place to be.
The Guide? Aaron Always able to be contacted, had plenty of Gear for us 5, and was willing to change his whole schedule and game plan to make sure our experience was perfect.

Let me show you what’s going on today in Austin. You’ve seen my profile. You know about my other tours, so you’ve got a good idea if I’m the guide for you. Austin has a lot to offer and it’s always changing. A lot of times these events are one time only so its silly to make a “tour” each time. Last night we taught friends how to roll a kayak in a massive hot tub on one of the highest condo’s downtown. Today we played glow in the dark ultimate frisbee. Whether it’s taking you to a kite festival, or teaching you to unicycle before a unicycle football game, I can show you a great time in Austin.
Message me your dates and I’ll tell you what I’ll be doing to see if you want to join. I’ll change the price to something we agree on before you book.
Maybe we’ll go spear fishing, or I’ll take you outwith the longboard club. Perhaps we will just canoe to an island downtown and lay in a hammock then cook s’mores and tell stories.

I take “local guiding” seriously. With any of my tours, you’ll get loads of side benefits. Depending on the day you come, I’ll invite you to whatever my friends are doing after our tour, let you borrow my mountain bike to explore the city on your own, etc. Trust me, you’ll get a lot more than you paid for.
Unless you request a private your, I’ll always invite my friends along with whatever we plan to do. It’s more fun for both of us.
We had an amazing experience in Austin, a day after Christmas. Aaron and his brother were both great guys who really made sure everyone had a good time. And I being a foreigner, and my friends not being Austin-ites, we just really enjoyed a beautiful day out and about, creating unique memories. Aaron was also kind enough to accommodate me when making the booking, and made a fairly complicated process as painless as possible. I definitely recommend his services.
Aaron is a busy guy! Between teaching, traveling the world, finding new and exciting ways to earn a bit of extra cash, hitchhiking and many other various outdoor activites he finds time to provide awesome and unique tours. Me, my wife and a few friends went on the full moon island tour. Aaron paddled us and about 20 other people each way!!! It was a great time! Now I need to do his scooter tour!
I only date Aaron for the adventure—caving, kayaking, cliff jumping, tandem biking, moped riding, rock hopping, hitchhiking, frisbee golfing, camping, night hiking, glow-in-the-dark ultimate frisbee, bonfires, sliding down waterfalls, unicycle football—everyone knows these are essential elements of any successful relationship.
I have known Aaron all his life and am still being amazed at his creativity and ability to see what others do not. He can take you places you’ve never been while doing so safely and thriftily. He truly finds joy in life. You will find joy and adventure with Aaron.
I’ve been friends with Aaron for a couple of years and he is easily the most active, adventure-seeking person I know. Meet Aaron B
Aaron is a founding member of Guidehop and its first guide. He is an expert on Austin’s outdoor offerings and is willing to give you the keys to his city. He finds adventure in places where others see none, and can discover more about an area’s outdoors in a single week than others find in a lifetime. Aaron is a seasoned world traveler who has been to over 30 countries, mostly via hitchhiking and other forms of ultra-cheap travel. He is passionate about sharing his way of life and bringing people along with him, whether through organizing a massive hitchhiking race from Texas to North Carolina, hosting an island camp out, or convincing his friends to start a scooter gang. Aaron holds the record for the longest field goal ever in the Unicycle Football League where he is a two-time national champion with his team the Hot Dogs. When he’s not traveling, Aaron can be found playing ping pong and teaching Speech at a local high school.
